Welcome to my new blog! After having a etsy store for just over a year and participating with many blogs doing reviews and giveaways of my handmade childrens items, I've decided to start my own blog.

I'm Heather Chopra, a stay-at-home mom who has always loved sewing so I decided to start an etsy site. I love clothing and children so it was natural to make children's clothing. I named my site lakenandlila. Laken is my son who is 3.5 years old and Lila is our West Highland Terrier. I began my site on December 25, 2009 and it has been growing leaps and bounds ever since. I truly enjoy making each item and envisioning the smile on the little girl or boys face when they put on my handmade clothing! I have been so fortunate to meet amazing people through the etsy site... buyers and sellers alike. The talent that people have just blows me away. I hope to showcase that through this site.
